THE OLDER BABY: RESOLVING UNRESOLVED BREASTFEEDING CHALLENGES
IBCLCs Only

PRESALE: Access to the course will be made available on August 10th

When breastfeeding dyads have struggled for months — desperately cycling through providers, interventions, and heartbreak — the path forward requires more than basic lactation support. This advanced course for IBCLCs explores the unique clinical and relational demands of supporting older infants and their families through persistent challenges, including latch dysfunction, pain, low milk supply, and breast refusal. Participants will develop a broader diagnostic lens for identifying the compounding factors that make these cases increasingly complex over time, and will build skills for conducting thorough, wide-angle assessments that go beyond reflex-driven newborn frameworks. Participants will explore strategies for effective interdisciplinary collaboration and will strengthen their ability to hold space for families who are exhausted, vulnerable, and deeply committed to continuing their breastfeeding journey. Through an emphasis on merging empathetic, heart-centered communication with precise clinical reasoning, participants will leave better equipped to guide these families toward meaningful resolution
Testimonial
"I will forever be grateful that I found Jennifer Tow. Through a virtual consult and in a minute she had identified a tongue and lip tie. My baby was nearly 6 months old then, and after an intense 2 month journey my baby is back to breast. We are not all the way there and it was not easy, but Jennifer has been there to guide and help me and I am happy to say it has had the result I had only dreamed of. She never ever nursed and now she can transfer milk. I feel like it is truly a Christmas miracle." S.A., Amsterdam, Netherlands
"Just finished it and it's definitely worth it. It helps you organize your thoughts around how to work with an older baby. I've already implemented things with 2 kids and saw results after the first intervention for one of them!"
